Why should we see a dentist?
I know, there are many other things that most people would rather do than see a dentist. Most males will happily go to a baby expo surrounded by pregnant women, new moms, and screaming kids than see a dentist. Most women would rather attend a lecture on particle physics before going to see a dentist.
The whole dental experience has been ruined by our dentists growing up. My dentist was rough, rushed, and had bad breath. I hear of many dental horror stories so it’s no surprise that most people would prefer to avoid the dentist.
Dentistry has changed. A lot.
It’s not how we were used to it. If you’re reading this, it’s likely you’re looking for a new dentist for whatever reason. The whole premise of our organization is that we are oriented to provide the best patient experience possible while delivering gentle, compassionate and empathetic care to our patients. We understand that you are human, and we speak human, instead of this dental language amongst ourselves to make ourselves look smarter than you.
Routine visits result in a more preventive approach to care. Following our recommendations will usually mean that you get to keep your teeth for longer. People are living longer nowadays, and keeping their teeth longer than our grandparents did. But such diseases such as fractured teeth and gum disease are also more common as a result of people keeping their teeth. Now I don’t know about you, but I would prefer to keep my teeth for as long as I live and avoid the need for false teeth.
Routine visits are now more easy than ever with our membership program. If you’re with a health fund , you’re probably paying more than you need for all those “extra’s” cover. Our membership program is not in itself an insurance plan, rather, a rewards plan for those who trust us enough to become our regular patients. For the price of a couple coffees a week, direct debited from your account, you will get regular routine visits with us twice a year along with hygiene, fluoride, and all the x-rays and images you need. Not to mention a nice discount for any treatment recommended, which includes fillings, crowns, braces, implants, even botox.
We are still here to do typical emergency room dentistry. Broken teeth, toothaches, abscessed gums, traumatised teeth. These won’t go away any time soon. But we hope to have a long term relationship with you, and your children. It has been a pleasure watching some of my patients grow from children to teenagers, some teenagers to young adults, and, well, you get the picture.
We hope to be that Penrith family dentist that you feel comfortable
with seeing until our backs get so broken that we have to hire our successors. Thanks to all the exercise and clean eating that we do, hopefully that won’t be for a long long time.
