Dental Emergencies

If you are experiencing a toothache, please call us (02) 4018 7454.

Do you have a dental emergency?

If you are experiencing a toothache, please call us now. There is nothing worse than a toothache. Sometimes they start as a small nuisance and over time grow to something that throbs and pounds in your jaws.

Other times they can take you by surprise with swelling and no amount of Panadol or Nurofen can ease the pain. We know that toothaches can be an extremely painful experience that a person has to endure.

We want to help relieve you from pain promptly.

At Bella Dental Penrith we make time each day especially to cater for dental emergencies. If you are reading this after hours, you can reach one of our team members after hours through our facebook page and we can organise an appointment for you to relieve you of your pain.

What causes tooth emergencies?

Our dentists will always discuss treatment options with you and try to save a tooth if where we can. But sometimes an extraction is the best option for your overall health.

How are tooth emergencies treated?

We aim to quickly relieve your symptoms whilst keeping you comfortable throughout your whole dental experience.
The treatment is usually experienced better than most patients believe. Nowadays, we are able to get people numb with little discomfort thanks to our pre-anesthetic gels. Many patients can then have their treatment, feeling very little, regardless of doing a root canal or a wisdom tooth extraction.

After the area is numbed, the infected tooth is removed and we will prescribe any necessary medications to ease the pain and/or clear up infections.

Afterwards, we encourage our patients to follow up to ensure that the situation is restored back to normal and to continue with routine checkups which can identify risky areas and be conservatively treated early, which will hopefully eliminate the need for further emergency dental treatment.

We will also provide effective, long-term solutions in order to replace your missing teeth.

What can you do to prevent tooth emergencies?

  • Prevention is better than cure.
  • Treat your teeth with utmost care
  • Never open something using your teeth
  • We can make you mouth guards for playing sports.
  • Avoid chewing or biting on hard objects
  • Make the effort to have your six monthly checkups to identify and correct problems early to prevent emergencies later on.

If you are experiencing pain call us now, we are here to help.

Our office is located at Southlands mall, at South Penrith, across from Jamison High School.
