Your Personal Invitation From Dr Geoff Wan

My passion for dentistry developed early.

I was 14 years old when I started off in dentistry, and went to work as a dental assistant for our family dentist.

I am a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Australian Dental Association, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the Academy of General Dentistry.  I also have an EODO Mini Orthodontic Residency.

I’ve studied at the University of Sydney, and in the United States.

These days, I invest more than 100 hours of continuing education a year, about five times the national average.  My patients benefit from the best possible treatment.

When I’m not looking after my patients, you’ll find me running, cycling, reading, cooking healthy meals, and spending time with my wife, Kia, and my son, Hudson.

It would be a privilege for me to get to know you.  I look forward to meeting you and your family, so you can enjoy both a healthy smile and a healthy body.

Pramesh Hettiarachchi

Pramesh Hettiarachchi was born in Colombo Sri Lanka and moved to Australia when he was 3 years old. He grew up in Wollongong and earnt his undergraduate degree in Nanotechnology in the University of Wollongong. During this degree, Dr Hettiarachchi worked in the Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium, where his skills and passion for science education blossomed.

He then moved to Sydney to study Dentistry in the Bachelor of Dentistry Program in the University of Sydney. Pramesh’s interests in dentistry include fixed prosthetic work such as crowns, bridges and implants but is a strong believer of early intervention to resolve dental problems, stating that “if we can catch the problem early, we can avoid more complex, invasive and expensive treatments”.

In out of clinic hours, Dr Hettiarachchi often attends Board approved educational courses to further feed his eagerness for learning. In his spare time Pramesh enjoys reading, watching Cricket and Tennis as well as playing computer games. Pramesh takes pride in his ability to explain complex (often scientific) concepts in a simple and passionate manner. Dr Hettiarachchi also loves working with children, feeling almost like a child himself. His passion and enthusiasm is contagious.
